Finance: Quantitative Portfolio Management
This course provides a quant and action-based learning approach to quant/value active portfolio management, using a practical teaching approach with the resources located in trading floors. The first part of the course will focus on developing a systematic approach to choosing/analyzing stocks from a quant/value perspective. The second half of the course will focus on 'leading in thought and action,' as participants will critique and analyze stocks, risk, and holdings in existing mutual funds. Students will critique 4 real portfolios from the "lens" of a fund of funds, a senior quant analyst and portfolio manager
Applied Business Economics
The development of analytical tools and their application to important economic issues. Refines central concepts concerning competition, economic efficiency and the function of property rights, and discusses the effects of the regulation and the rationale for government intervention in the economy. Other topics include the analysis of capital, uncertainty and monopoly.
