INTRODUCTION
I am very new to the healthcare field of study due to this I do not have extensive knowledge of many of
the topics we will explore within this class. I do have brief knowledge about topic fours objective to learn
more about compliance with OSHA and topic fours objective to learn more about how a safety
committee can reduce risk management issues within the healthcare field. I have no prior knowledge of
many of the topics we will discuss within this class such as a risk management plans, the Medicare
Improvement for Patients and Providers Act (MIPPA), and managed care organization (MCO) standards. I
am excited to discuss more about all the topics presented within this class. But I am very excited to learn
more about the risk management plan for addressing ethical standards, patient consent, informed
consent, and patient rights and responsibilities within topic three. This class presents many great topics
that will create great insightful discussions within the classroom community. I look forward to growing
within my healthcare related knowledge and the many objectives related to risk management. This class
will prove to be difficult for myself, yet I know I will learn and grow greatly through the next five weeks.
