ASSIGNMENT INFORMATION FOR THE PORTFOLIO
FOURTH ASSIGNMENT
Task: You are required to write your research report, which will serve as your examination for
this module (see Tutorial Letter 101, p. 17).
Updates project outline notes:
• Based on the feedback you received for your second and third assignments, continue to
improve upon writing your literature review on time perspectives in relation to at least two
of the predictor variables assessed in this research project.
• Based on the improved literature review, propose (if necessary, revise) at least two research
hypotheses.
• Use the shared results (Results to test your Research Hypotheses, which have been shared
in the Discussion Forum of your research project on the HRPYC81 MyMoodle site) to test
your research hypotheses.
• Further, provide a comprehensive discussion of your results.
• The structure of the research report, including the information necessary to be included, is
outlined in detail below.
Tutorial Letter 101:
• The examination (Research Report) will count 80% towards the final module mark.
• To pass this module, you must obtain a subminimum of 40% for the research report
(i.e.,portfolio) and a final mark (year mark plus portfolio mark) of at least 50%.
• The year mark (average of three assignments) contributes 20% towards the final mark, and
the research report (summative assessment) contributes 80%.
Key Elements:
❖ State an abstract and introduction
❖ Present an advanced literature review.
❖ Clearly state your research hypotheses.
❖ Provide detailed information about the study, including methods, participants, and
procedures.
❖ Report the results of your research.
❖ Discuss the findings and their implications.
