nerve damage from impoverished blood flow can lead to erectile
dysfunction, incontinence, poor wound healing, and loss of
sensation from area

Inspection
- Skin coloring - cyanosis
- Shape of chest - accessory muscle use
- Depth, rate, pattern of breathing
- Palpate chest for fremitus, chest expansion
, - Percuss chest for presence of fluid, air, consolidation
Auscultation
- Check for diminished or absent sounds in all fields
- Crackles, rhonchi, wheeze, pleural rub
Vital signs and hemodynamics
- Crucial baseline data - indicators of change in status
NG tube complications
epigastric of abdominal pain (r/t to clog or improper placement)
vomiting (r/t to clog or improper placement)
hemorrhage (too much suction)
aspirational pneumonia (misplaced gastric reflux)
Glaucoma S/S
cloudly, blurry, artificial lights seem to have rainbows/halos
(increased IOP, obstruction of aqueous humor)
which pulses can be taken bilaterally?
