,17 Describe the seating arrangement of the classroom (grouping, group names).
 This seating arrangement benefits the students in that they can focus
and see what is going on in the classroom.
 Desks are in straight raw and the teacher’s table and chair is in front
next to it thee is cardboard for storing teaching and learning resources.
 The arrangement allows the teacher to walk freely, with enough space to
see what learners are doing.
 They can stand in front where every learner can see, and hear what
he/she is teacher, while learners’ seat and observe. This method hinders
student learning.

 The emotional classroom environment is conducive enough for learning to take
place.
 Everyone in class respect each other, is treated equally and with dignity.
 Learners are encouraged to understand and respect each other’ culture.
 Everyone in class is free and has the opportunity to share and contribute their ideas
and opinions.
 The teacher gives positive feedback when necessary and encourages cooperative
learning.
 The physical layout of the classroom is conducive for learning though there a minor
issue that need to be attended to.
19 How is the discipline managed in the classroom (learner's behavior, teacher's and
learner's language, choice of words in questions and responses)?
 There is on LOTL that is used at school (English) everyone it is compulsory
that everyone uses English as a medium of communication at school.
 There are school guidelines for disciplinary procedure to be followed that is
communicated and accessible to everyone.
 There are set of rules for expected behaviour in class that is on the class notes
board so learners can read them.
 The teacher ensures that reward and punishment are clearThe teacher establishes

 The school start at 07:30 with a morning prayer which takes up to 15 minutes.
 At 07:45 the first academic period for the day starts which is 45 minutes long for one
lesson.
 At the end of the period the bell that ring to notify that the period has ended, the
teacher should leave the class and another period begins.
 At 11:00 there is a lunch break which is 45 minutes learners get their nutritious meal
for the day.
 At 15:45 the bells ring for the end of the school day.

22 What are the relationships between learners themselves and between the teacher
and learners (humor, calling of names, favoritism, tasks/roles distribution)?
 Teachers share best practices with one another, which helps them handle different
kids and classrooms that require different methodology and approaches from teachers
 To improve and uniformly deliver excellent teaching to students, teachers collaborate
on extra learning resources
 Teachers collaborate to learn from one another, which assists in the facilitation and
growth of new and less experienced teachers.
 The working environment is also friendly; teachers eat lunch together, chat with one
another, and occasionally combine money to purchase a single meal that they can all
share.

 Learners respond favorably to the teaching because the teachers are passionate and
enthusiastic about the content they are instructing.
 Teachers are encouraging and persistent in praising learners for their good behavior
and performance.
