P2
As part of my report, I have been exploring two contrasting business to describe the
different stakeholders that have been influencing on it, I will also explain the points of views
of those and I will evaluate the influence of them in an organisation.
A stakeholder is anyone who can affect or can be affected by an organisation strategy,
objectives, actions, policies or projects, they can also be external or internal, suggesting that
not all of the stakeholders are equal.
Firstly, Tesco as a public limited company has different types of stakeholders such as
directors, shareholders, employers, managers, customers, suppliers, competitors, trade
unions, local communities and government the stakeholders of Tesco.
Directors are the persons who leads and supervises a company, they also have the
responsibility of determining and implementing the company’s policy. The Directors of
Tesco are the persons that take the accurate decisions for the company to success. They
influence Tesco to make higher sales by offering new products and offers instead of their
profit. So Tesco could get bigger and expand over the years
Shareholders could be any person or company that owns at least one share of a company’s
stock, they could be benefited or affected according to the company’ successes. The
shareholders of Tesco influence the company to make more profit objectives to be
benefited, they also influence Tesco because they have voting rights on major corporate
decisions, such as, on elections of company board members. They can also influence in legal
actions, for example, they can take legal action against Tesco management if they think they
have committed wrongful acts that can affect the company.
Employers are the persons who work for the company they can work part or full time under
a contract employment. The employers of Tesco influence in the success of the company by
their productivity and efficiency in the job, for example, the cleaners keep the stores clean
and tidy to make the customers feel comfortable, or the customer’s assistance workers help
clients with any question or doubt. They can also affect the company because they can
appeal to industrial actions if they don’t feel that their working conditions are being
respected.
Manager is the person that is in charge of certain group of tasks or subset of a company,
manager influences Tesco by the decisions they make, to make the business grow and
expand they help the business to be organized by influencing the products and services
offers and who they offer their products to, they also can decide who to hire or fire in the
company.
Customers are the persons who get or receive products, such as good or services from a
company or organisation. The customers of Tesco influence the company by keep
purchasing goods or services from it, so it influences the economy of the company because
they are selling more products, so they product demand will be higher, so it beneficiates the
company in a financial way, however, if the customers find better prices in other companies
