Stuff of Poetry
A Freudian Insight into the Fluidity Between the Dream-Like State and Reality in Hope Mirrlees’ Paris: A Poem based on Freud's claim that a dream is “not senseless, not absurd” but instead “a psychic phenomenon of full value, and indeed the fulfilment of a wish”. Touches on how the dream interpretation ultimately brings out astute dream-like readings of the subliminal subtexts of the realistic moments, covering typography and font as well as language.
