GSR Food Ltd manufacturers ready-made meals for supermarkets across the UK. It was founded by
Ravi and Maryam when they left the restaurant industry after 20 years as chefs who employ a
growing number of staff and are investing in new machinery to expand their product offerings within
the industry. Despite this, over the past couple of years both the HR and the financial performance of
the business has suffered, from the rising labour turnover of permanent employees that has reached
40% in 2025 to the declining net profit margin that has fallen by 5.4% in just 2 years, highlighting the
impact of the key challenges the business faces.

Therefore, this presentation will cover the business goals, current management challenges and their
impact, visualising the declining financial performance, detail the effective proposals that are needed
to overcome the challenges and recommendations to ensure the successful implementation of the
proposals. We will focus on how the current management challenges are driving up the rate of
wastage and worsening the net profit margin.
