Own Contribution
Although we will help in our day-to-day business operations, all four of us will be contributing
to the organisation in different ways.
Sadia is our marketing operator as she is familiar with editing programs, such as Photoshop.
Using a number of websites and tools, Sadia is able to create online advertisements, leaflets
and a website for us to promote our business and products. As well as being our marketing
operator, Sadia is our website/app operator, which means she keeps our website and app
up-to-date. This is important because the internet and technology is commonly used by a
large number of the population; therefore, this is the best way to reach out to our customers.
Name is our main flower arranger and this is because she is a lot more creative than the rest
of us and using her skills, she is able to create bouquets and other products that are
attractive to customers. As well as this, Name is in charge of decorating the shop floor and
this includes for the different seasons or different annual holidays. She will use her creativity
to design our shop in a such a way that will grab the attention of passer-by’s and entice them
to come in and see what we offer.
Name will be in charge of administration and this role is vital for the smooth-running of our
business. The duties Name will be responsible for include fielding telephone calls, receiving
and directing visitors, word processing, creating spreadsheets and filing. Name has excellent
organisational skills and this will contribute towards the smooth-running of our business
because all of the administration work will be taken care of by her, to a high level of accuracy
and care.
Finally, Name will be completing the work regarding the financial aspect of the business,
along with the help of Name. Together, they will ensure that all of information/data regarding
the business and its day-to-day operations is recorded in an appropriate manner, including
financial documents such as cash flow forecast, profit and loss sheet and a balance sheet.
These financial documents need to be created with accuracy to detail, as it is important that
all data included is accurate to ensure that the right decisions can be made with the aid of
them. For example, a profit sheet will allow us to identify the financial position of the
business, as well as if we need to make any changes as a result of loss.

Technical/ Operational – relating to our products and services
The day-to-day operations of our business include ordering and receiving stock, flower
arranging, taking/receiving orders via telephone and providing customers with the best
customer service we can offer. The operational aspect of our day-to-day business operations
include receiving stock and placing them in the store, arranging the flower bouquets and
other arrangements, creating gift baskets/hampers and provide customers who visit our
store, with the customer service that they are satisfied with. The technical aspect of our day-
to-day business operations include updating our website and social media pages, replying to
any questions/enquiries left by customers online as well as taking orders online or via the
phone. In order to complete these operations effectively, we will need a main computer/pc
system for the store and perhaps a tablet/iPad too.
