Introduction
I recently started working as a junior web developer for a web development company. As part
of my training and induction, I have been asked to develop a new website for Blackburn with
Darwen Borough Council and Lancashire Constabulary, for a client, to advertise and raise
awareness of their most recent online campaign against hate crimes in the area. My target is to
, talk about hate crime on my website and the audience is 16- to 18-year-olds as they're the
future.
Strategy Section
Purpose
My website's purpose is to educate people on how to report hate crimes and how they can do
so regardless of whether they have special needs. The availability of this to anyone who has
encountered hate crimes based on race or disability. The website will have forums and other
useful resources/information about hate crimes. The main purpose is to spread awareness,
educate, and promote positive change. These resources/information/forums will help people
resolve and prevent hate crimes, this is not a platform to report crime, it is for educational
purposes.
Target Audience
My website's target audience will be teenagers aged 16 to 18, this is because it will
teach them about hate crime, and the consequences and will teach them the etiquette
of human being, it is targeted for all 16-to-18-year old’s, is also because the teenagers to
learn and spread this information so others learn, and it would be useful to them when
they grow old. The geographical location is where it will be located, and it will be in
Blackburn. The website will be for both males and female, so they can learn about hate
crimes. It is also designed for seekers looking to learn and retrieve from the website's
information. The website will be created for all users, for example, users who are
disabled, and users who are visually impaired, so they can also learn. It would also be
targeted at all ethnicities. The website will be free to use so users don't need to worry
about payment.
