Aim - what is the aim of your campaign
Objectiveness - how will you know if your campaign is successful : making your success
measurable, for example you will know if your campaign is successful if you have over 10k
followers on instagram, or if you have raised over 500 pounds from merchandise.
Methods - What media will you use for your campaign. E.g Social media (Instagram,
Snapchat, Tiktok), Merchandise, Posters, Petitions.
Justifying what you're campaigning - Why are you campaigning for it?
TIMESCALE (MOST IMPORTANT PART) - (First stage) - you're telling the reader how long
it will take for you to research everything for your campaign ; effects, crimes, support
currently available, real cases and crimes committed. (Second stage) - how long will it take
for you to design, what will you design, website, media then how will you design it .
Target Audience - who is your campaign aimed at
Finances - how much are you willing to spend/ how much are you expecting to earn back
Your Objectives - What do you plan to achieve?
Planning (TIMELINE):
Research - this is where you will say you will be planning to research the particular crime in
further detail. BY researching this crime in more detail you can start planning your target
audience, by seeing these statistics I will be able to identify who will be my target audience.
By identifying my target audience I will be able to plan materials and methods I will use that
will be most appealing to my target audience. E.g if my target audience is fairly young I
intend to use social media like instagram and tik tok. You can also plan to save money from
my part time job to be able to purchase materials for my campaign.
Creation - E.g during the next month I will be designing my logo, merchandise (pins for
lanyards, wristbands, mugs, t-shirts), slogans and posters and creating content and
accounts to advertise your campaign. This may take some time because you must have it
suited for your target audience.
Delivery - how long will it take you to put all the posters? How long will it take you to post
and set up your social media accounts? How long will it take for you to sell the merchandise
which you are planning to sell on your social media?
Length of Campaign - How long will your campaign last (e.g 3 months)? 3 months will allow
enough time for you to raise awareness and gain a large following so that you can make a
difference.
Time before checking impact - After a couple of months you can check how much money
you have raised. After a few months you can check how many followers you had in the
beginning and how many you have now. I will also set up a survey to allow feedback about
the merchandise I have created and what they believe should also be implemented.
When I create a poster for my campaign I must include:
, - An image of a victims ( if you don't want to include a photo in your poster you must
include one on a social media post)
- Statistics
- QR Code
- Link to social media, website or phone number / help line
Consider:
- Persuasive language
- Promote people to act against the crime
- Target audience must be taken into consideration
- How it correlates to your campaign
- Make sure your information is structured in an orderly manner
- Utilise images of striking visuals
Campaign against Spiking :
My aims are:
- To raise awareness about the physical and psychological effects experienced by the
victims of spiking.
- To educate people on how to stay safe on a night out and how common it is for you
to get spiked
- To raise fundraising for the cause and for victims who have been paralysed or
physically impaired after an incident.
Objectives:
In order to raise awareness I plan to make a social media account on Instagram and Tik Tok.
I plan to gain about 5,000 followers on Tik Tok and 1,000 on Instagram. On these social
media accounts I will conduct interviews with the survivors of spiking and the family and
friends of those who lost people due to spiking. I will record the interviews and manage them
into short clips (30 seconds to a minute) in order to keep my viewers attention. I will also
update the general public of new cases that have come about. I plan to gain at least 500
likes on a post on instagram. I believe that my hopes are achievable because I can let it
happen through regular posting and engaging content. I think this goal is realistic because
5,000 people in followers after a couple of months isn't a huge amount so I can achieve it by
having at least one viral video. I think it will take me around 3 months to build an adequate
platform and audience.
In order to educate people about how to stay safe when clubbing/going out for
drinks/partying I plan to print a series of posters and fliers to hang up and hand out to
people. I plan to print out approximately 50 posters and 100 leaflets. Hanging up posters can
be done when walking to school or around town and during my spare time I can encourage
my friends to give out educational leaflets to family and friends, while I can hand out leaflets
to the general public for 2 hours on a saturday. This is an achievable target as it is not very
time consuming and it might catch enough peoples attention to at least stop one person from
