Monday The focus for today will be questioning. This is when you ask questions to others
with information that uses knowledge of that individual. This is important to us in
the nursery because you can understand what others know and what they need to
do to improve. This will help in supporting your development as you understand
what is needed in order to improve and how to work with others. This will increase
your ability to work in an inclusive manner as you are working and understanding
others.
Tuesday The focus for today will be non-confrontational approach. This is when you have to
deal with a situation calmly without any aggression. This is important to us at the
nursery because we do not want to end the situation with aggression it should be
dealt with by talking to others. This will help in supporting your development as
children in the nursery will understand that fighting does not solve the issue you
need to talk to others. This will increase your ability to work in an inclusive manner
this is because you are working with others and trying to resolve an issue.
Wednesday The focus for today will be effective communication. This is when you learn how you
are able to improve how you are communicating with others. This is important to us
because if you are using effective communication then you are able to develop
relationships with others. This will help in supporting your development as you
understand what message children are telling you and you can develop a bond
between you and the children in the nursery. This will increase your ability to work
in an inclusive manner because you are able to interact effectively with others.
Thursday The focus for today will be mentoring. This is when you train others and teach them
skills by guiding them. This is important to us because we want to teach children
useful skills that they would need. This is important to us so others would have
useful skills that they need that would help them in life. This will help in supporting
your development as children will understand and learn new things that would
benefit them and help them develop. This will increase your ability to work in an
inclusive manner as you learn how to work with individuals and teach them new
skills.
Friday Mentoring is used so children are able to learn from others. This is useful as children
can be able to understand what they need to and how to do it. Mentoring is
important because it is necessary so children can learn about new things and skills.
Without mentoring it would be difficult to show children how to do things.

develop an understanding of how to do certain tasks. This is important to us because
we want to make sure that all staff are capable of performing tasks to ensure that
others able to learn. This will help in supporting your development as you will gain
new skills and get the guidance of someone else in order to develop. This will
increase your ability to work in an inclusive manner as you work with someone else
and you feel that your perspective towards others is different as you are treating
others more equally.
