Speaker Notes

Slide 2 - Intro

I will be demonstrating my understanding of the different factors that
affect the UK inbound and domestic tourism. I will explain all the effects
in the form of recent statistical data to support the six factors that I will be
doing. I will also be analysing how three specific factors are affecting
both inbound and domestic tourism. I will then continue the presentation
by evaluating the potential impacts of two factors on the future of UK
inbound and domestic tourism. The six factors are:
• Health, safety and security within the UK,
• Accessibility
• Exchange rates
• Travel restrictions
• Competition from other destinations
• Weather.

Slide 3 - Health, safety and security

Health, Safety and security are very important to providing quality
in tourism. This is when people want to feel safe when they are
travelling, the success or failure of a tourism depends on the UK being
able to provide a safe and secure environment for visitors. The UK has
become much stricter with health, safety and security therefore tourists
can expect to be safe when travelling. When tourists travel they become
relaxed in their destinations and are not always aware of the dangers
that could happen. This is relevant for both inbound and domestic
tourists. Airports have increased their security measures and are make
sure that nothing illegal is brought in or taken put. This includes x ray
checks on luggage and further identity checks on passengers.

Examples of health safety and security are terrorist attacks. After the
London terrorist attacks. London attractions saw a fall in visitors by 17%
between May and September. On March 22nd there was then
Westminster bridge vehicle attack. There was also the London Bridge
Attack which killed 8 people. There was the underground train tunnel
blast
