country you’re in. An example for a domestic tourism is a family leaving from Hartlepool to
Scarborough.
Inbound tourism is when somebody is leaving there country and their usual environment to
travel oversea to going on holiday in your country. An example of inbound tourist is
someone who lives in America coming over to England for a holiday.
Outbound tourism is somebody leaving there own country to go on holiday overseas away
from their home country for a holiday or visit. An example of outbound tourism is a person
leaving there own country the UK to go on holiday to Australia as they are leaving the
country they live in.
Describe each of the component industries that are detailed below. Include an example
of a company for each sub heading. (Include images of companies if available) Detail if
these companies are available to one or more of the following tourism markets: domestic,
inbound or outbound.
Accommodation
There is two different types of accommodation the first one is serviced and the second is
non- serviced.
Serviced accommodation offers visitors service such as meals, cleaning and room service. An
example is a travel lodge as it is a serviced accommodation because they offer these
services to their customers who stay. Travel lodges are scattered around the world making
them easier for outbound, inbound and domestic tourists to go to.
Non-serviced accommodation means you can stay somewhere however it does not offer the
same services as a service hotel to their customers. Customers would have to cater for
themselves like bring their own food as it isn’t included and clean their own accommodation
and example for this could be haven because these are caravans customers have to bring
their own things. Caravans (Haven) are only inbound and domestic.
