i.e., analyse the effectiveness of the digital marketing
methods mentioned in P2.
• Display advertising, Banners pop-ups floating advertisements (ads),
interstitial ads, text ads.
Display advertising is an effective form of digital marketing for many industries, mainly for
the banking industry and the airline industry. Display advertising is effective because on
average 0.06 percent of people clicks on display ads every day , which doesn’t seem that
much but in statistics it is 60,000 people clicking on new ads, showing that there is a
potential of gaining 60,000 new customers to buy a certain product/service. This is good
because display advertising is very affordable, which means the business marketing budget
might be a valuable investment for different types of businesses to make if the company has
a huge potential to gain an extra 60,000 customers. Although display advertising isn’t always
effective because when display advertising was first introduced there was a big stir in the
marketing community, as display advertisements was annoying a lot of people as some
companies was not targeting the right potential customers, resulting to consumers wanting
to get rid of display advertising. Consumers were able to do this through buying ad blockers,
which would block any type of display advertisements for certain consumers.

Banners/pop ups/floating advertisement can be an effective method for digital marketing.
This is because pop up ads are normally on most websites/social media platforms that
consumers visit and the benefit of this for consumers is that the pop up ads would normally
be data that consumers are interested in.This is because businesses gather data of the
trends that consumers are interested in, then pop up ads are made for different customers
depending what product/ services they are interested in, so for example there might be a
specific pop up ad for consumer which are sneakers. Through pop up ads entrepreneur.
Com was able to increase their on-line subscriptions sales by 162% by introducing a Pop-up.
Showing that pop up advertisements can be quite effective. Although, some consumers
might find pop up ads quite annoying as it is always constantly popping up for consumers
meaning that it isn’t as effective for certain consumers.

Interstitial ads are quite effective for mobile users especially for android users. This is
because the ads pop up quite often for android users, which is good for businesses as it
increases the chance of businesses getting money. It’s good for mobile app businesses as it
