Project Management : Project Management is an process that involves planning and
organising of a company’s resources in order to complete a task. This may involve a one-
time project depending on the nature of the project.
IT Project management implies managing, planning, and developing IT Projects. Including
software development, hardware, and network…etc

The Project Life Cycle
Initiation:
The project is formulated and defined here. It involves determining the project's goals,
stakeholders, and purpose.
The scope, goals, and viability of the project are among its key activities.

Planning:
After the project's continuation is approved in accordance with the business case, statement
of work, or project commencement agreement, the planning phase will begin. This stage of
the management life cycle will involve breaking this enormous project down into smaller
tasks.
Creating a plan for assignment completion and team building are also important. Within the
larger project, set more achievable goals and make sure each can be finished within the
allotted time. Smaller objectives need to have a strong likelihood of success.

Execution:
During the project management and monitoring phase, controls and primary performance
indicators are set up to assess how successfully the project is being implemented.
Controlling and monitoring the project is essential to ensure that it will be carried out as
planned in terms of schedule, scope, and financial baselines.

, Controlling and monitoring the project is essential to guaranteeing that it will be carried out
as planned in terms of schedule, scope, and financial baselines.

Closure:
The team will go onto the closure phase after finishing a project. The project's achievement
will be established during the closure phase, which will also give the last deliverables and
issue the project resources. The project manager's duties do not end like that within the
completion of the key project work; there would be still crucial tasks to complete, such as
assessing the project's achievements and failures.

Project Management Structures
User requirements: It is requirements defined by the end user, as the name implies.
The performance standards for an effective method are summed up in these requirements
with respect to the type of product that must be produced and the required output. The
data from user requirements forms is used to further specify, create, and verify the project
system (i.e., the design solution to meet the needs of the user is evaluated during the design
review/qualification phase).

Project job roles and responsibilities:
Project Manager: The project must be completed, which is the job of the project manager. A
project manager oversees the daily operations of the project and leads and monitors the
project team with approval from the project board. For instance, PRINCE2 is the most widely
used project management methodology. It is suitable for all types of projects.

The project manager is responsible for:

 Managing the production of the needed deliverables.

 Monitoring and planning the project.
 Assigning project assurance responsibilities within predetermined reporting
frameworks
 As needed, creating and updating project, stage, and exception plans.

System Architect: System architect is responsible for Computer and networking system
configuration, management, development, and upkeep. They offer recommendations on
how to best integrate IT systems and networks to achieve departmental, corporate, or
functional goals in addition to analysis of planned procedures and outcomes.
