P6:Develop a coherent marketnn mix for a new
product or service
In this assignment , I will be creatng a coherent marketng mix for the new
BTEC Radio Producton course that will be provided in Uxbridge College in the
next few years.
What is marketnn mixx
The marketng mix is a very important business utensil used in marketng in
order to promote the business's product or brand. It is usually including Price,
product, promoton and place. Uxbridge College is using marketng mix in
order to satsfy the needs and aspiraton of the types of customers that want
to study within Uxbridge college.
Product: BTEC RADIO PRODUCTION
Compettors:BTEC MEDIA, BTEC THEATRE
A product is anything touchable or untouchable that can be ofered to a
market in order to satsfy the wants and needs of its customers. Moreover,
the product is what the business is going to sell in order to make a proft. This
segment of the marketng mix is very important for the business as if the
product is not adequate and is not good enough to ft the purpose of the
organizaton than it will not raise the business's target and income ,in fact,
would not have an importance.
For Uxbridge college, the product will be the new course
of BTEC run by the insttuton in order to atract more
students and to extend the limits of the college. However,
it will not favour the college to take in students under 19
as they will not pay for course and Uxbridge college will
not have an increase in proft based on this new product.
This course is a full tme and in order to take a diploma
the students must study 2 years ,as well as there are
exceptons when some of the students will be able to study only one year.
Over the course the students will be learning diferent things related to radio
and media producton sector. Also there will be a variety of projects related to
the subject. The radio producton course is part of a full study programme that
its ofered at the college. This means that students may be required to study
English and Maths (up to a grade C at GCSE level) alongside media. This to
ensure that students are beter equipped for life beyond college either at
university or at working in industry.
