INTRODUCTION

Firearms found at the crime scene needs to be handled with high care. They need to be
held with high care as some of them might be loaded, and also if they are not loaded
they still need to be held with high care. The initial position of firearms and projectiles
needs to be photographed. Before touching them and other physical evidence, latex
gloves must be put on in order to not contaminate the evidence like fingerprints or hair
strands.
