Unit 3

P1 Describe how marketin echiiques are used o marke produc s ii wo
ornaiisatois
In this assignment, I have been asked to write a report on the diferent techniques that are
used to market products in two organisatonss This will cover describing the diferent market
techniques used in order to achieve customers’ needs and developing the business in the
futures I will describe the marketng concepts, marketng defniton, growth strategies,
survival strategies, and relatonship marketngs I have chosen two diferent business to use
in this assignment and they are Kellogg’s and Adidas
Marketing concetss
Most of the business have to make sure they can identfy the need of the business in order
to provide the customer with products and service, this to make sure their customer are
satsfeds Therefore, the business will focus on the customers, which they can make
decisions depending on the research on the customerss The marketng concepts will include:
 The troduction concets- this concept is one of the oldest concepts used since the era
of productons Most of the businesses that are interested in this concept will prefer to
provide a product/service with cheap and low quality materials, as the business in this
concept will mainly focus on selling products to customers who will buy lower priced
productss This means customers will look for the available and low cost products in the
market and therefore the customers will be more interested in the product itself than
in its featuress An example of this concept is Poundland shop, Poundland is selling
cheap and low quality products to customer who prefer to buy the cheapest and
available products
 The sales concets – In this concept, the business is more focusing on selling the
products or service even if the customer is really does not need the product or service,
as most of the business will employ people such as personal sellers to persuade the
customer to buy their product or services The sales concept is also known as ‘‘the hard
sell’’ because the business is focus on selling not to understand and identfy the
customer’s needs Example of this concept is Door-to-door sellings
 The marketing concets-this concept is very diferent from the producton and sales
concepts as it is focusing on understanding and identfy the customers’ needss The
business here will consider all the research on the customers before providing the
customers or services Therefore, most of the business will spend money on making
products meet the customers’ needss

Marketing
Marketng is the process of understanding and identfying the customers’ needs and wants,
as there many defnitons for marketng but all of them will try to focus on meet the
customers’ needs and wantss It is about fnding the ways to provide the customers with the
products or service which they demandss Marketng is to provide the right products in the
right place, at the right tme and at the right places
