● Energy cannot be created or destroyed, only
changed- transferred from one form to another
● A closed circuit is a circuit which experiences no
external forces- energy is always the same
● Δ GPE=mg Δ h
● Work done= external energy transferring energy to a
system
● Electric=Chemical Potential Energy (in a battery)

● Heating=Electrical energy transferred to heating
stores as work done against heating coils causing it
to heat up.
● Energy is rarely 100% when transferred- often due to
friction and heating of environment
● Efficiency is how much energy is not lost as waste
● Power is the rate at which energy is transferred
