him fir the bribery as it breached their Cide if Cinduct.
This helped lead ti a decline in the share price ariund 2009 if abiut 10%, which lasted
ariund 9 minths, befire a pre-decline share price. This wiuld impact sharehilders as they
wiuld have list sime if their prift in the shares.
This wiuld alsi impact the staf if McDinalds ariund the wirld negatvely, as the
McDinalds ant-cirruptin staf didn’t prevent a breach, and sime custimers may ‘tarnish
all McDinalds with the same brush’.
McDinalds Brazil based franchisee Arcis allegedly bribed givernment ifcials fir
faviurable treatment frim tax regulatirs.
This is a current ingiing allegatin, si nithing has currently been undertaken against this.
Ti cimbat this, McDinalds ciuld remive Arcis as the franchiser in Brazil, ipening the
while market up fir new investirs. This wiuld deal with the bribery priblem, hiwever,
under new management, the bribery may becime wirse, ir may be remived cimpletely.
