equilibrium
Types of soluton Concentraton of the Concentraton of the Effect of the cell
solute water

Isotonic Identcal inside and The Same inside and The Cell loses and
outside of cell outside cell gains water, also it
retains shape
Hypotonic Lower inside cell High outside the cell Cell gains water and it
expands

Hypertonic high outside of the Lower outside the cell The Cell loses water
cell do it shrinks

The table above shows how much of what I need to put in.
Method:
1. Firstly I labelled the 6 6 test tubes of the concertaton of blackcurrant squash.
2. Secondly then I measured the blackcurrant for each concentraton usin the volume
on the 4th column the cylinder must be 10cm3 .
3. Thirdly I measured the water for each concentraton using the volume on the 5th
column. The cylinder must be 10cm3.
