In this assignment, I prepare a report in which you explain how the government supports the

The government supports businesses in many ways, especially through the internet. This helps build
interest to customers, business or clients which includes the development of promotons ooers,
online services.
The government currently ooers free training and helpful advice to businesses who are adaptng to
online business. Business Link is the government's online resource for businesses. Business links
website is very helpful which provides individuals and businesses with advice for setng up, funding
and many other things.
The government supports stao through providing employees with essental training such IT, maths
and English qualifcatons. Learn direct provides individuals with these qualifcatons helping them to
run their online business.
However the government ooers free training and advices for businesses that are beginning to
operate online. This is only for businesses who are considering adoptng a strategy of e-commerce.
E-commerce Regulationn
The E-commerce Regulatons apply to businesses which sell goods or services to businesses or
consumers through a number of dioerent ways. These can include though the internet, by email or
Short Message Service. Also the e-commerce regulaton also includes advertsement through the
internet, emails or SMS. The e-commerce regulatons do not cover businesses who advertse through
direct marketng by phone or fax. The regulatons specify the vital informaton which businesses
must give to customers when you sell online.

This came in acton in 2002, where the EU issued instructons to all members. Businesses who intend
to trade online must take these into consideratons. nline selling and advertsing is part of the laws
of the UK if the trader is in the UK.
Connumer Protection Dintance Selling Regulationn
Distance selling means selling and buying by phone, mail order, the internet or digital TV.
Transactons are usually covered by the buying and selling legalisaton, however they are covered by
Distance Selling Regulatons. This act gives protecton to consumers who shop by phone, mail order
or via internet.
