In this assignment I will explain why human resource planning is needed to make sure that
an organisaton has employees with the necessary skills, knowledge and abilites to meet its
purposes.
At Newham general hospital their aims are to atract and employ the best employees into
their organisaton. They need high quality employees to work for them, this includes,
excellent customer service, being organised & tme management.
Human resource planning involves looking at the current workforce skills and motvaton
techniques and comparing them with what is going to be needed in the future. To do this,
Newham General Hospital has to take into account consideratons both inside and outside
the business and the skills that are needed to make the business successful.
For Newham General Hospital, human resource management is a strategic process. This is
because it involves the whole business in planning for the future. Having the right skills and
knowledge enable the business to meet its objectves and compete more efectvely than its
rivals, for instance, other hospitals.
The employees must have the necessary skills to accomplish their tasks within the business.
This may include operatons and helping patents. Human resources recruit the best people
for their organisatons. The startng point of the work force planning process is to identfy
employment needs for the future. This is called recruitment and selecton which human
resources do. Newham general hospital needs to manage these processes efectvely in
