You just started to work as a junior software developer for
Context
a small organisation - Salchester PollUTest. The
managing director of the new organisation, Gary, is
looking to enhance its information systems.
Having decided that Event Driven Programming (EDP)
with VB.NET is to be the approach and environments for
their software development. You are asked to write a
small procedural program that shows the key features of
EDP programming.
The demo program is called BTEC Grade and UCAS
points Calculator. Assume you have completed all units
for specific qualification and each unit with a specific
grade (P, M or D). Information about BTEC qualification
grading and UCAS tariff are given in the appendix 1 and
appendix 2. You need to design and implement a
Window Program using VB.NET. The program allows
user to first select a specific BTEC level 3 qualification, it
then takes number of passes, merits and distinctions as
inputs; Once the required inputs are provided the
program allows user to produce an overall grade and the
corresponding UCAS points as the outputs. Your demo
program should include some on screen help.
Note: you may have your own demo program here.
But you must discuss this with your tutor to make
sure it’s at appropriate level for the purpose of this
assignment.
Task 1 You have been asked to write a report to explain key
features of event driven programming. Your report
should include:
