Emerging powers-

 Current economic climate= USA and EU (46% of the global GDP)

 EU and Japan both have ageing populatons.

Things that are likely to change-

 Ageing populatons will slow economic growth.
 USA‘s economic and populaton growth is likely to be a moderate.
 Chinas economy is looking to shif from secondary to tertary which will increase GDP.
 Other demographically large countries (Nigeria, India, and Indonesia) are also undergoing
growth which could rival the worlds existng large economies.
 Future superpower groups: BRIC- and G20- the world’s largest 19 countries + the EU. G20
account for 85% of the world trade.

The EU-

- 28 member states rarely agree on decisions.
- Economy has been weak since the recession in 2008.
- Has an ageing populaton.
- Brexit means it will lose one of its biggest players.
- UK and France are nuclear powers- Brexit will change this.
