P4: Conduct primary and secondary research for a selected product/service making use of
identifiable sampling techniques.
In this task, I had to use both primary and secondary research for my particular
product/service which would solidify my research but also make it more reliable. I have
highlighted some key URL links where I felt was most influential for my selected topic. Below
highlights key matters such as the success rates of Uxbridge College, also the final link goes
into detail of a record breaking number of successful students as well as some additional
comments from both them and the staff, but also the first link states the student satisfaction
rate across the country. These 3 links are essential as it is completely relevant and provide
useful information for me when conducting this research as it gave me ideas on what to ask
students and to also be able to receive and constructive feedback on any department of the
College which can be passed on to management. This can be highly beneficial for the
College due to the fact that it provides information in which they can build and improve upon
rather than simply assuming for themselves that the College is running well from their
prospectus. My primary research was then created from the help of of some online
secondary research which meant I could produce more relevant questions therefore getting
better answers from the students of Uxbridge College.

This link is an official website called Higher Education Funding Council for England that is
showing a news article of the student satisfaction rates over the UK. This is relevant to the
task as Uxbridge College have a say in the excellent annual figure of over 86% expressing
their satisfaction with over 2.5 million students being able to have their say since 2005 which
shows that they are in no means providing information on the base of a few hundred people
from one area of the country.

Uxbridge College had most recently seen a Record Year of outstanding results which can
only improve the image of the College and attract potential students to join with such an
incredible accolade. The overall grades from A*-C had seen an astonishing 6% increase
than the previous year which would overall positively affect the results of satisfaction of
those who had achieved the grades they desired.
