PURPOSE OF THE EXAMINATION
Gunshot residue test carried out to determine whether firearm was used at the scene and
where it was used.
Marquis drugs test carried out to give an indication whether the white powder was likely
drugs or not.
Chromatography carried out to highlight similarities and differences between stored and
tested ink samples, and to show the amount of separate substances in ink.
Bullet comparison was carried out to determine whether the bullet was likely fired from the
suspect's gun or not.
