Unit 1 Assignment 2 - Bradford Council
Demonstrate a range of effective interpersonal skills (P4)
How a specialist IT communication channel can be used effectively for
Bradford Council employees
I suggest Bradford Council use podcasts, because this method has worked for companies
like Novell SalesTalk, BMC and Slate for many years. Novell SalesTalk have implemented it
all their podcasts into one page and gives you the option to play it in a new window or
download it. Additionally giving a summary of what the subject of the podcast is about or
what question it is answering.
However when clicking on a podcast it opens up a new tab. Therefore I suggest Bradford
College implement everything the same as Novell SalesTalk, except for when it comes to
playing a podcast with it opening a new tab, it should be played without it opening a new
tab.
Conclusively they wouldn't make the same mistakes as Novell SalesTalk has done, because
Bradford Council would be improving the method of playing podcasts when allowing the
podcast to be played in the same tab, instead of the podcast having to be played in a
separate tab.

How to create a podcast
Step 1
Pick a software - Audacity can be understood with ease and Mac, Linux and Windows
versions are available. It has loads of features and plug-ins that are easier to utilise. Make
the audio using audacity example below.
