Introduction
As part of Pfizer’s plan to ensure best possible work output, Pfizer pay a great deal of
attention to Health and Safety which will ensure the steps are in place for people to be well
protected and shielded within these workplaces and programs. For the welfare of the
employees, the overall safety of the people is one of the most important things and the
health and safety legislation allows us to achieve this and will help sustain a suitable working
environment that will minimises chances of serious injuries. The main aim of any health and
safety legislation is to create a safe working environment for the employers to easily adapt
to and to reduce the risks of accidents and injuries occurring . There will be a lot of
information which will covered in this report in relation to health and safety and will cover a
range of things from things like risk assessments, PPE and other hazards that may be
present and will help us too deeply explore the different aspects of health and safety and
the issues that may arise from certain guidelines.
In addition to creating an environment that is comfortable for employees, there are many
legislations present in order to maintain an overall safe surroundings. Furthermore, we have
legislations in place that will help successfully maintain a suitable working environment. For
example known as the health safety at work act of 1974 is a legislation that ensures the
safety of the employees in an environment that is suitable for work. Other legislations
includes COSHH, PPE at work regulations 1992, health and safety at work act of 1974,
environmental health and safety and management of health and safety at work 1999. These
regulations will act a secondary barrier of protection against workers and will help in other
areas of practical development such as handling of complex equipment, chemicals and
training to carry out tasks in a way that is done carefully to reduce chances of serious risks
to general health.
These have been all put in place to maintain order and look out for the protection of the
employees to make sure that they are in good overall health in these conditions. In addition,
it would also be vital for the employees to have the right level of practice and training to be
adjusted to these sorts of surroundings and to have a clear idea of rules and regulations
permitted in such environments with the awareness of the different policies…… required for
good overall knowledge .

very large scale that will most effectively change people’s lives and allow people to be more
healthy and live longer not just in the UK, but also around the world. Furthermore, Pfizer
has been very interested in the continuous investment to the NHS in the UK which will help
