In this project I will be utilising my sketch and CAD skills to produce a redesign of a decorative bowl/facemask making bowl that then will become a physical product with different manufacturing techniques. I will be designing with taking in consideration materials, manufacturing process durability.

, The Brief
I will be learning about the design digital prototyping processes
that challenge the traditional way of making an object. I will
ideate on different versions within the following themes:

A material: metal, wood, plastic, alternative
sustainable material…

Fig 1: Casting
A technical form: milling, casting, moulding,
stamping…

A redisign:
one element of an object or a single
object…

I will choose one of these as the basis of my project and explore
different technical processes over the module.

Fig 2: casted vase Fig 3: Milling
With my developed design I will experiment with materials to
understand its possibilities and limits, look at interesting forms to
reproduce or look for a traditional object component to redesign.
