The purpose of this information system is to find out what 4 different areas in Lancashire a
recruitment road show should visit. Depending on the level of qualifications they have in those
areas. The information that I have produced is valid, accurate and useful. The reason it’s valid is
because the data that I used to create the information system wasn’t recorded too long, which
keeps the data as up to date and possible. The data that I have used is accurate because It was
collected by the government, businesses and organisations, which means that the data was collected
by people who record and research information on a usually basis. Also by having different places of
where I got my data from allows me to cross reference them with each other to see what’s different
and what the same. In doing this I found similar data, different data but I also found a good amount
of the same data which allowed me to use that data accurately. The data is useful because it covers
what I was asked to collect. In task 4 it asked me to collect data to make a decision on what 4 towns
to hold a recruitment show by collect data on the population, age academic level and employment
rates for each of them, which is what my information system
covers and only covers. Which make the information useful to the This bar chart shows the amount of
purpose it’s needed. people in 4 different towns who have
a level 4 or above qualification.
Businesses will most likely go for
people with level 4 or above qual
because it looks good for the business
showing that they have high level
workers. Also people with these levels
have many different degrees, for
example, honour degrees, master’s
degree, PHD etc.. This means they are
more qualified than people with lower
levels. The advantage of business
have this level is that they can bost
about it because they are at a high
standard.

This bar chart shows the amount of
people in 4 different towns who have a
level 3 qualification. This level of qual
is somewhat the same to level 4
because they have a high level which
means they have good information
about what they do. However, they
don’t have degrees like masters or
PHD’s because level 3 is college level.
This can be an advantage for the
company because they can bost about
the level of qual there staff is but also
it can look like they can’t get level 4
and up staff.
