controls on McDonalds and Tesco.

Laws and regulations are enforced to ensure that the public is safe from any
sort of danger. Therefore Health, Safety and Hygiene legislations are
obligatory on every single business operating in the UK food retailing
understands the basic principles of the laws. The laws are compulsory on
business to keep the employees protected as well as its customers. Beneath
the laws businesses are responsible for safety, management and health.
Employers must do whatever they can in order to protect its employees and to
make sure that the business can run smoothly. To keep customers safe can
be an expensive way for businesses as sometimes a lot of food needs to be
thrown away to minimize any health risk which can be harmful to employees,

maintenance of the working environment, plant and systems, maintenance of

adequate welfare provisions for staff at work.

The importance of HSE is that the HSE is the UK government body
