ENVIRONMENTAL ECONOMICS
(19ECC139)
Summer 2020 3 Hours (+1 hour for download/upload)
Answer ALL questions in Section A and TWO questions from Section B
Assessment Instructions
This is a (1b) remote assessment examination, meaning you have a total of 3 hours plus 1
additional hour to complete and submit this paper. The additional hour is for downloading the
paper and uploading your answers when you have finished. If you have extra time or rest
breaks as part of a Reasonable Adjustment, you will have further additional time as indicated
on your exam timetable.
This is an open book exam and you may refer to module materials, notes or textbooks when
answering. You must draw your own diagrams and must NOT copy and paste them from the
module materials (e.g. lecture PowerPoint slides) to illustrate or explain your points. You may
not copy and paste text content wholesale from the module materials. Students who do
this will be marked down for poor scholarship.
Given the seen nature of the exam, in Section A the word limit is 1,200 words
(approximately 4.5 pages excluding diagrams). The word limit for Section B is 1,800 words
(approximately 7 pages excluding diagrams). These word limits do not include
tables/graphs (if applicable). Intext citations are included in the word limit. There is no
minimum word requirement.
In text citations should use the Harvard style in accordance with the School of Business
and Economics guidelines. You do not need to include a reference list.
It is preferred that you handwrite your answers. However, you may type and/or word process
your answers, as you see fit. Images can also be inserted into the document.
All marks remain provisional until moderated.
