1. 1 Explain the terms:
· Equality- it means that everyone have
equal rights and opportunities. In early years
education, equality is making sure all
children are not disadvantaged because of
their background, needs or abilities. In my
nursery all the children are given equal
rights and opportunities according to their
needs. practitioners make sure all the
children are made sit on a table for snacks
time and the fruits are distributed equally to
every child.
· diversity - diverse means having many
unique features. Practitioners should make
sure that the diversity of the child and their
families is recognised and celebrated. In my
nursery practitioners celebrate all festivals
by signing songs and making things
representing the festival
· inclusion - it's the process identifying,
understanding. In the early years setting
practitioners should make sure that all
children, whatever their needs, should be
given same rights and equal opportunities to
learning. practitioners make sure that
children with additional needs are supported
and have the equal opportunities to learn.
