temperature before and after a standard period of exercise
M3

validity
Hypothesis: I believe that during physical activity the heart rate and breathing rate will increase,
with the blood pressure decreasing as opposed to a relaxed state.

Equipment required:
 Heart rate monitor
 Stop watch

Method:
 Ensure the individual has a resting period of at least 5 minutes to be sure they are in a relaxed
state.
 Measure pulse BPM, respiration RPM and blood pressure, shown as resting obs.
 Next a 2 minute exercise period was begun, with the pulse, respiration and blood pressure being
recorded immediately afterwards.
 After this, 3 more bursts of 2 minute exercise periods were undertaken with the results being
recorded after each.
