Deforestation in Malaysia
They are losing their natural habitat. Malasyia rainforest has been destroyed, and many species
particularly, orang- utans are killed or orphaned. Deforestation is the process of cutting down trees,
often excessive amounts of trees. The timber is a highly valued export, deforestation suggests that
the land can be used for other profit- making enterprises, like cattle ranching ,commercial farming
and the production of rubber and palm oil. The rate of deforestation in Malaysia is increasing faster
in the world.
