Website design
Made by Hani Nasir, BTEC Level 3 IT (Information Technology), Unit 6 Website Development

A company called "Goodlife" offers vacations and scuba diving lessons. Due to the demands of
information technology, they want a website developer that can enhance the company's usage of IT and
update the company website to include a new website area for their business. The following are the
prerequisites for the website:

• A webpage with tabs for navigation
• There should be images, videos, audio, and text
• Links to other web sites must be present.
• For ease of use, a navigation bar or menu should be present.
• Goodlife Scuba Diving needs to have a banner.

Benefits

By using the internet to promote their brand internationally, "Goodlife Scuba" may reach a larger
audience. As opposed to advertisements on radio, TV, and printed media, they can now spend less.
Having their website linked to another website is another way that "Goodlife Scuba" might gain from
quicker and more expensive benefits. Potentially long-lasting relationships with clients that share your
interests could result from this. Additionally, the target audience has unlimited access to the website and
can use it around-the-clock.

Nature of interactivity

Users can engage with the site's content through an interactive website. Users can benefit from a more
customized experience through this engagement than they would get from merely browsing a website.
The website "Goodlife Scuba" can point users in the direction of what they need and produce more
content that will be of interest to subsequent visitors.

Purpose requirements

Making things simple for those who are interested in scuba diving and vacations is the goal of the
Goodlife Scuba Diving Web. The website should cater to users who are interested in scuba diving

instruction and scuba diving gear. The goal of Goodlife is to teach people how to scuba dive and about
other aspects of aquarist culture.

Principles of website design

Typography: Typography is a vital component of every website. It piques the audience's curiosity and
acts as a visual representation of the brand's voice. There should not be more than three different fonts
used in any one typeface on the website.

Navigation: Website users engage with and use navigation to find what they are looking for. Maintaining
visitors on a website depends on its navigation. Visitors will give up trying to discover what they need on
a website if the navigation is difficult. It is important to keep page navigation straightforward, clear, and
consistent.

Accessibility: Technologies, tools, and websites have all been created and designed with accessibility in
mind. People can perceive, comprehend, navigate, and engage with the Web, to be more precise.
participate in the Web.

Site layout: an outline of the structure of a website. For the website owner and visitors, it organizes the
information on the website. It places the key components of a website front and center and offers obvious
pathways for navigating across online pages.

White space/spacing: When there are no design components in a place, it is called white space.
Effectively, the room is empty. Giving design elements space to breathe is the most significant use it
serves in a design, but there are many others as well. Additionally, negative space can be used to
emphasize certain elements of a design or portions of material.
