Eric Asare p3

Dear Matt and Sarah today I shall be talking about the issues and risk you might
or will face when you start your online service.
Planning issues

 Fine-tune your business model. You can’t expect your e-business to be
successful because you’re not one hundred percent sure about where the
money is going to come from.

 Build flexibility into your plan. Most business plans include possibilities and
likelihoods — what-if scenarios that provide one of two or more available
possibilities in case something happens goes wrong. Contingency planning
is especially important for an e-business.
Implementation issues

 Requirements for customisation: You must offer users with a framework,
this means allowing customers to customize their experience on your
website.

 Changing user specifications: The site must be appropriate, always up to
date and close to perfect. A service for tracking orders must be required.
Operation risks

 Hacking

 revealing information to member

 viruses

 spam

 credit information fraud

Staffing issues
When a business runs online this causes worries for staff as they worry about job
modifications and redundancy.
Some staff may be sad they are not able to have physical communicate with
customers.
Staff may have to train themselves with the use of call centres; as they are used
to handle customer enquiries. Call centres also provide access to customer and
product databases; they can also be used to offer help and support.
Problems may ascend if the staff have don’t know how to use the technology.
Staff will need to be trained to use the technology that is used with the internet.
Another issue to consider is if any problems ascend, some staff members will
have to pick up responsibilities that are not usually their own.
Financial issues
All online businesses are very expensive and consuming as it takes a lot of
money to keep it going; particularly large interactive websites. There is no point
in having an expensive website with few gains.
