sandwich shop
by Eric Asare

,The sandwich shop
• Two years ago, your friend’s parents opened a sandwich shop
near a local sixth form college. Their business has done quite w
but recently another shop opened in competition. A travelling
snack van has also started parking near the college. As a result
trade has fallen.

• Your friend thinks there is a lot of potential for his parent’s
business if they appealed to a wider market, such as firms on th
nearby industrial area. He looked at other types of food they co
offer to entice customers away from the competition. He reckon
his parents have no focus and the best way to improve the
business would be to set some aims and objectives.

,introduction
It is very important to have an aims because it provide
focus for the business, to see what they are trying to ai
for, an aim highlights key areas of development and
achievement. Objectives are more specific than aims
they are broken down so that they are easier to achieve
An objective is a sub goal. It is a short-term, step within
period of time that is moving toward achieving a long-
term goal.

, mission statement
At the sandwich shop our main focuses is to make
customers feel fulfilled and leave with a smile on their
faces, because customers come first and if the custome
are not happy with the services we provide, then it
means we are not doing our job right.
