Motivations to Transition from LPN to RN
I can without a doubt say that, as an LPN, I've learned a great deal about nursing.
However, obtaining my RN license will enable me to broaden my skill set and develop
professionally. Compared to LPNs, registered nurses have a more thorough education, enabling
us to offer patients a higher caliber of treatment. I will have the chance to concentrate in a
particular field of nursing in addition to the enhanced knowledge and abilities that come with
being an RN. This can entail specializing in a particular area of care, like emergency departments
or emergency nursing, or dealing with particular patient demographics, such children or the
elderly.
I will contribute significantly to patient care as an LPN, but transitioning to an RN will
enable me to have even more of an influence. Compared to LPNs, RNs are in charge of more
elements of patient care and are frequently the first line of interaction for patients and family
members. By offering direction and assistance throughout the healthcare process, RNs in this
position have the chance to positively influence patient care.
