D2 – Evaluate the effectiveness of business information and its
communication as key contributors to the success of an
organisation, using examples to illustrate your points.

Type of How the type of corporate business
Corporate communication and its communication is
Communication effective in contributing to the success of
Tesco
Mission Statements Tesco’s mission statement is “Creating value
for customers, to earn their lifetime loyalty”.
Tesco’s mission statement is effective in
making them successful because it tells their
customers and the general public that they
value each and every one of their customers
by giving them the best prices for the products
and services that are provided to them that no
other organisation can match in exchange for
the customers’ loyalty to Tesco for the rest of
their life so they don’t shop in other stores
that compete with Tesco.
Tesco employees contribute to achieving their
mission statement by providing excellent
customer service and helping customers if
they have any queries in the best approach
possible which satisfies the customers and
makes them want to come back again and
again to shop in Tesco which earns their
lifetime loyalty because they know they won’t
get that kind of service in any other
supermarket. For example, Tesco have the
Clubcard service where customers can stack
up points when they purchase products and
services and use those points to spend on
more products and services or even use the
points to stack up air miles where they can
build up air mile points and when they have
enough they can go on a plane flight using the
points they’ve earned.
Tesco’s customers contribute to the
achievement of Tesco’s mission statement by
purchasing the desired products and services
which help to raise sales and profit levels
which means products and services can
remain at low prices which makes the
customers happy and makes them want to
keep coming back to Tesco do their shopping
