In this assignment I have been asked to plan an event with the group I
have been working with. I am going to discuss why we had chosen this
type of event and what the purpose of it including where the event will
take place.

Some of these events have the same or similar success factors as they
have a similar purpose to the event. I believe that the birthday party ,
prom night and the wedding have similar factors as there will be only
people there you know and in general the three would have the same
purpose which is to make sure everyone has a good day / night at your
event. However people won't turn up to these events because there
could be some issues like drugs , alcohol , technical issues or no
refreshments for the guest. Little issues like these will turn people down
as they would have expected better when it comes to events like these.
So when it comes to having an event like one of these , you have to
make sure that everyone will be happy with what you have to offer.
Explain the chosen event idea, including reasons for choice
Our group had thought of these events from the table and the ones we
were planning on going ahead with was an esports event or a football
event. We wanted to go ahead with these events because our group is
mainly us boys thinking that we can get an event going that will get
others involved particularly boys as it would be serious if it came to the
football event or a console esports event. However , thinking about
what's needed such as a venue , enough people that are serious , good
WiFi and maybe refreshments. So we had chosen a game event that
would be placed at college so it would come with the tables , chairs and
the free WiFi as there were already students there and we get access to
it. Also the way we are going to promote is via the college email and try
getting one or two staff members to get involved as they will know
how to send a single email to everyone.
We had chosen an event that will allow some people
to come together and play a free game called
AmongUs that can be played on your phone but on
your laptop with a £4 fee . We believe this event will
do good as the game is really trendy for the people
who know about it and it's all over social media as
people are already making videos about it and
memes too. So we believe this game would allow our
event to go well as people would come together and
be a little competitive depending on how serious
everyone is at the time.
Our group had chosen the event to be held at Shipley College on the
19th May 2021 as its a really small event , just for people to come enjoy
themselves including our group to make quick profit from it if we can.
