Assignment 3

It is the director’s responsibility to examine the legislation to actualise a policy which is a set of
orders that everyone must obey.
The strategy (policy) is depicted into a process which can be seen as a poster for instance for
Coronavirus. The poster is available for all due for how easy it is to visualise and yield by observing
the rules. Nevertheless, poor eyesight might result as an issue.

It is vital to care for training for the members of staff after the instructions and procedures have
been illustrated by the director in charge, so he/she have a clear understanding that the members
know their job role.
The members of staff must obey the methodologies every time as it is their own responsibility to
being involved in training of necessary as they are required at the Gateway View Nursing Home. This
will let the manager know that the member of staff understand about the maintenance of a safe
place for all by minimising the danger of a spread of pathogen. If this wasn’t in place, every resident,
worker, and relatives at Gateway View Nursing Hime will be in danger of getting in contact with
germs and the risk of the potential disease spread would be higher.

Occupational Health is a legislation regarding the workplace area health specifically to manage
illness.
This will be useful in avoiding diseases to detect if an individual is possibly a carrier. For instance, if
we’re referring it to salmonella outbreak before commencing a job, the organisation will address the
worker to the Occupational Health for a vaccine job and to check of it is updated due to how the
work will require them to work with vulnerable individuals.
MRSA checks need to be applied by staff for their safety against the disease in order to not be a
carrier as there are side effects such as flesh eating and diarrhoea.
By noticing this both the manager and the member ps of staff in charge, can observe their
methodologies. The worse case scenario mid the staff and the manager didn’t follow this legislation
at Gateway View Nursing Home is that the care home will be at risk of outbreaks of diseases without
having the knowledge of where the spread comes from and why the numbers of cases in outbreaks
are increasing.
The executive manager will collect the accurate records of sickness to make sure that the members
of staff don’t work in a unsafe workplace and they will be directed, for any concerns, to a
occupational health as this is a lawful responsibility.

RIDDOR
RIDDOR is a legal book that records all the accidents in an institution. Every institution must have the
book, as every accident must be monitored and included in it.
The accident book is for monitoring and analysing problems. It must be checked daily by the director
in charge. If an accident occurred in a hospital and during the night, the accident will be addressed
to the city council, monitored by the PHI/ENO.
By doing this it will help avoiding illnesses by highlighting weaknesses and catastrophes in a
programming procedure, hand washing with PPE, they will be acknowledged daily to avoid
infections. By doing this the health care organisation also know as the Gateway View Nursing Home
and the workers within the residence will help them to prevent the transmission of diseases as
records are being collected. This procedure at Gateway View Nursing Home successfully helped
preventing and controlling the infections from coming in as the manager will evidence if a specific
resident or area within Gateway View Nursing Home keeps being involved in an accident.

Accident manual will verify what’s happening at the institution that will be useful to prevent
infections. Linking it back to Salmonella as it is a notifiable (reportable) illness, lawfully it must be
notified by the Public Health Inspector.
