International Business Assignment 3
Unit 5

Unilever PLC is a British multinational consumer products company based in London, England. Unilever's
products include food, ice cream, wellness vitamins, tea, coffee, water, beauty items, and personal care.
Unilever is the largest detergent maker in the world. Unilever's goods are available in over 190
countries. Unilever has over 400 brands, with a revenue forecast of 51 billion euros in 2020 and thirteen
brands with revenues above one billion euros.

Unilever's product range includes lynx, Persil pot noodles, Herman's, dove, and ben and jerry's, to name
a few. These items have been modified and re-engineered for overseas markets by Unilever. For
instance, based on which nations they are marketing and advertising the product in, they may have
marketed it in numerous ways. They may be required to do certain things because of the legislation, or
they may be required to adjust their advertising because some material or parts of them are insulting to
particular people of culture. Because some items were not agreed upon with that country, they may
have to modify sections of the merchandise.

Due to the covid 19 pandemic, Unilver has adjusted much of its products and processes. Some of the
items' manufacturing processes have been altered, as have procedures that adhere to the country's
regulations. There may be regulations in place, such as wearing masks or keeping a 2-meter space
between you and another person. This would have an impact on how items are created since machinery
and other processes would have to alter. Unilever has modified one of its deodorant production lines in
the UK to produce much-needed hand sanitizer for the NHS due to the corona virus. This shows that
their goods and practices have been altered to benefit others. They were able to distribute a significant
quantity of hand sanitizers and help people keep safe. They needed to contact their distributors and
others to ensure that they had the necessary equipment and that there was enough of it available
throughout the UK and Europe.

Unilever has also completely changed the way it markets its products and services. They have changed
how they do things since trends change all the time, and they want to appeal to a broad range of people
to draw more customers and flourish. They would do so by assessing what is popular and what is not,
