,Explain and analyse how informatics (LIMS) is used in a medical setting to
record, store and report patient information and results in an accessible
format whilst maintaining confidentiality.

LIMS is a system which stores data securely and safety. LIMS is used in
the laboratory as it can be useful for storing samples and patient data
with keeping patients' data and results secure and maintaining patient
confidentiality. LIMS allows a person to record data and store it on a
cloud where it is all kept for storage until needed. LIMS is used in a
medical setting because it can quickly produce reliable results and track
data. LIMS is an efficient way to store things such as- data, samples,
research information, investigation work and much more. LIMS allows a
laboratory to be able to input essential data regarding a patient's sample
and additional information such as- Sample name, sample size, patients
age and D.O.B, the date the sample was taken, how the sample needs to
be process, how the sample needs to be stored and more.

, LIMS usually uses a barcode system which makes it easy to scan the
samples through each process. LIMS makes processing and
analysing easy, with easy access at any time. LIMS uses information
to produce a successful, efficient system to manage samples such
as- batch material, time and date the sample was taken, where the
test was conducted, inspection number and any additional
information required. Sample management will be organised from
the information such as- who recorded the sample, how the sample
needs to be stored, where the sample needs to be stored, where
the sample needs to go next, what process it is currently at and
when it needs to move to the next process.
