1. General features of Alzheimer’s Disease on Donepezil
a. Alzheimer’s is uncurable, cannot be delayed/slowed, or reversed. However
cognitive decline can be slowed down.
b. Donepezil
i. Indicated for mild, moderate or severe AD

1. Inhibits WBC

vi. Does not prevent or cause infection but can make an infection worse.

viii. Injection reactions
1. No warm or cold compress
a. Do not change the temperature of the tissue
2. Benadryl if needed
3. Hydrocortisone cream if needed
4. Rotate injection sites to avoid injection site reactions and skin

ix. Can cause depression and suicidal thoughts
x. Allow 48 hours between injections
xi. Start with low dose then increase too more.
