RELEVENT EVIDENCE - Bobo Doll Study – Bandura 1961
He observed behaviour of children in a lab study. In the first room he placed a child with a model some being aggressive
to the doll and some non - aggressive and some on their own. Then in a second room the child would be shown
appealing toys but told they were not slowed to play with them (this incites aggression.) In the third room the child
would be given toys including the bobo doll and their behaviour towards it was shown. Bandura found those who
observed the aggressive model repeated this behaviour more than those who did not. This gave evidence that children
learned through observation of others.
