Klassieke neerslagvorming:
Verdunde oplossing van het reagens druppelsgewijs onder roeren toevoegen.


Homogene precipitatie:
Neerslagvorming die ontstaat homogeen in de oplossing door een chemische reactie van een
hulpstof.


Typen neerslagen:
 Colloïdale neerslag
 Kristallijn neerslag


Colloïdaal:
Hele kleine deeltjes. Sterk verontreinigd door adsorptie. Nauwelijks filtreerbaar.


Kristallijn:
Grotere deeltjes. Goed filtreerbaar.
