CIE IGCSE Music Practice Listening Paper

Document preview thumbnail
Preview 2 out of 11 pages

This is a practice paper for Cambridge International IGCSE Music, suitable for examinations from 2026 to 2028. The paper contains questions on Baroque, Classical, Romantic, Salsa, Tango, Arabic, Musical Theatre, and Computer Game music. The mark scheme is included, as is a skeleton score for Extract 7. The paper is formatted to reflect the structure and question styles of a real CIE IGCSE Music Listening Paper, with difficulty roughly equivalent to the exam. The total number of marks for this paper is 70 minutes. There is a link in the PDF document to a playlist on Spotify containing recordings of the pieces. Please note that this document is not an official CIE paper, and should only be used for practice and revision purposes, and not for assessments. The mark scheme should serve only as a rough guide for some potential answers, but appropriate responses to the questions should be given full credit (1 mark per valid point).
